Private Dining & Group Bookings in Marylebone W1

Birthdays, anniversaries, business lunches and corporate dinners — flexible group dining on James Street since 2005.

Long group dining table set for a private booking at Grand Bazaar London

Group bookings sit somewhere between a private dining room and a regular reservation, and the right answer depends on the size and shape of the party. At Grand Bazaar we've been hosting birthdays, anniversaries, business lunches, hen parties and corporate dinners on James Street since 2005. With 42 covers inside and 75 covers across the pedestrianised area on St Christopher's Place, we have flexibility most W1 restaurants don't — we can hold an indoor table of fourteen, a long outdoor run of twenty in summer, or take a part of the room for a private booking.

The way the booking system handles parties is straightforward. Tables of up to six can be booked online with instant email confirmation. Groups of seven or more should call the restaurant or send an email and we'll confirm by phone — this is to make sure we have the right table shape and the right kitchen pacing for the size of the party. For groups above twelve we usually agree a set menu in advance: a meze sharing board to start, three or four main course choices including a vegetarian option, and a dessert board with baklava, kazandibi and Turkish coffee. The set menu price varies by selection but is always communicated in writing before you commit.

Marylebone is one of the easier neighbourhoods to bring a group to. Bond Street tube is sixty seconds away, with two exits onto James Street; Oxford Circus is an eight-minute walk; black taxis can drop on the corner. The Wallace Collection on Manchester Square works well as a pre-dinner culture stop, Stratford Place is a short walk for after-dinner drinks, and Wigmore Street has a small handful of cocktail bars within five minutes for a post-dinner round.

Common occasions: birthday dinners with a private cake brought out at the end of the meal (we do not charge cake-cutting fees), corporate lunches with a pre-agreed time window, family rehearsal dinners the night before a wedding, and full restaurant buy-outs for milestone events. We're licensed for alcohol and serve until 22:30. Children are welcome at any time. The kitchen is fully halal on the meat side.

To plan a group booking, please email or call us, or use the reservation page to reach the team — we'll respond within one business day with available dates, set menu options and a clear quote.
